I'm really excited about the Galaxy Quest Wikia that one of out site members, Ralok, has started. At the time of this writing he had 92 Pages on the wikki with over 578 edits! It's amazing how much work he has put into it!
You can find his page at http://galaxyquest.wikia.com/

The Last starfighter is one of the VHS tapes that were used in the background of the film. I happend to stumble across a picture of the minitures that were used in the scene where the protector smashes into the side of the convention.
Even to this day, i'm still surprised as to how much detail that the design crew put into this film.

Last night I was watching Galaxy Quest again and I noticed something that struck me as odd. It was when Mathesar explains that "This is the Tothian minefield left standing from the great war of 12185" during the first ship to ship combat.
I noticed that when you look at the 12185 the 12 and 18 when switched is 1812- as in the war of 1812 which was fought between America and the British. The war lasted until 1815. Notice that 5 is the last number in 1815 and is the last number in 12185.
This is the war that many consider the second war of independence for America, making it America’s last war to become independent from the tyrannical Brittan (at the time). It seems to me that there is a connection between this and the battle that was occurring during the movie; the battle of the Thermian against the enslaving, tyrannical Sarris. Both of these battles involved attacking each other’s ships- and then progressing to hand-to-hand combat.
I could be making a stretch here but my next upcoming post, which has a similar idea of the movie makers putting a hidden connection in, is undeniable.
Here's a hint- the next post deals with the same "Fish out of Water" idea that the actors in galaxy quest went through. "There's gotta be a perfectly logical explanation for all this."
If you can give me the right answer before December 9th starts you will win a free Galaxy Quest promo pin.

I see that I’ve gotten a hand full of repeat visitors in the past couple of weeks. This is very exciting for me because it tells me that my site has enough credibility and interesting content for my fellow Questarians. I hope that in the upcoming weeks I can show you the progress and alternated patterns being made.
I believe that it is important for a project to start off with a good foundation. I want to make sure that the pattern that I’m working on is accurate so that way I won’t have to alter, or re-make the whole thing.
If you haven’t had the chance yet, be sure to take a look at the Questarian.com. He doesn’t have anything new 'per say' but he has thrown an update about the site itself, which is something worth wile to look at.
In the meantime don’t forget about the real world science! The Mars Rover Curiosity landed last month and has already made it halfway to its destination!

Hey, Quick Update!
I think I’ll add a new page with a list of all the Galaxy Quest Items I have.
Give me a day or so to add more information here-----> [Info!] (Sadly not there)
My Uniform is back in the works, I’ll be creating a new pattern and starting over.
I've found a what I would consider a 99% accurate Zipper Pull for the Uniform. You can find it here, /Zipper Link\.
In addition I've purchased three new patches for the uniform/ uniforms. I plan on making a Thermian made and a TJC (The Journey Continues) Uniform along side a Communications Uniform for my Girlfriend.
These Patches are easy to come by in 3" and 3.5" on Ebay. I personally went with the larger patch, It seems more like the "Right Size"
If you are new to the site, Be sure to read this post ----> GQ Cannon Creditability. I believe it's important to get a community agreement and opinion.

Today Marks the 12th anniversary of the theatrical premiere of Galaxy Quest!
Over the past few years the Questarian has tried to put together a Technical Manual for Galaxy Quest; I’ve decided to take up this project. If you would like to help in any way please feel free to contact me with any ideas or suggestions you might have.
Something to remember, we don’t have a whole lot to go on, but we do have something that they didn’t have a few years ago; The Galactopedia from the Blu-Ray edition. I’m currently in the process of documenting that scattered information, so that way we can sift through it easily.

Many of you who search the internet for anything Galaxy Quest would have found a blog post from April 6, 2010 about an event held at Wondercon 2010.
This Event was a fictional Panel to give a Retrospective look at the last 30 years of Galaxy Quest. Panel members included Daren Dochterman, Steven Melching, Robert Meyer Burnett, and newly announced “Galaxy Quest: The Next Generation” exec producer Ashley Miller.
If you, like me, happened to be unlucky enough to have missed it, an audience member had recorded a lot of the discussion, the audio isn't the best but it is very funny to watch. They even, have a webpage
I was doing a google search today, when I found the video that they used as a teaser during the convention. While not the best Quality, it was a very pleasant surprise. I might even modify a model sometime.
The whole idea is pretty cool, it brings up my desire for a sequel. ha ha

I received an E-Mail from a modeler over at theRPF that "a modest sized, (about 8" in length or so) buildup of the shuttle from GQ" has been commissioned. This model, as explained, will look just like it did on the planet after landing. So it will have the burn marks on it and it will be in the "Landing Position"
I'm excited and can't wait to see it! Pictures will be available as soon as the test models are finished. And if I get any more information, i'll be sure to let you guy's know first! Perhaps the suns of Warvan are shining upon us!
