Galaxy Quest my once again be comming to the small screen in our homes! For over a year we've been waiting on the edge of our seats for hope that the Quest will go on and according to The Hollywood Reporter and Slashfilm it will go on!
Slash films says:
"We know from our own sources that Amazon and Paramount Pictures are hoping to get Tim Allen, Sigourney Weaver, Tony Shalhoub, Sam Rockwell and Daryl Mitchell to reprise their roles. But the series won’t entirely focus on the original crew of the NSEA Protector. The series will take a cue from the Star Trek reboot franchise and will also feature a younger crew as part of a reboot of the original Galaxy Quest series."
This in addition to the board game that has been talked about is really pointing to some interesting possibilities for the Galaxy Quest Fanbase!

I hope your personal lives have been going well. I know it’s been a bit rough the past few months with the passing of Leonard Nimoy and Alan Rickman.
On a brighter note:
I’m sure most of you are also Star Trek fans and are excited with the idea of the new Star Trek TV show that has been announced by CBS just in time for the shows 50th anniversary!
I’ve considered doing more frequent updates not concerning Galaxy Quest specifically but upholding the spirit of it. Feel free to send me a message, if you are a member, or consider joining! It’s free and easy just follow the link under Computer Access.
I really enjoy the conversations I’ve had with some of you!
Here in the next week or so I’ll post some pictures I took while at the Indianapolis Comic Con.
Never Give up,

This out-of-the-blue announcement came yesterday from multiple sources, and we've seemed to track all their sourcing back to an article on variety. 'Galaxy Quest' TV Series in the Works All the articles break down some general history of the 1999 movie. At this time no official statement from Paramount has been made.
As always we will update with further information when we can.

If you take a look at IDW's official site you can see that they have the first comic book cover listed, while a quick internet search will show other covers, both alternate and a sequel (as there will be four in this series)
The plot of this story line is supposed to pick up at the end of the 1999 movie Galaxy Quest, and I'm not sure if it will tie in with the 2008-2009 comic book series at this point or not. What we do know is that this will be a comic that will address the 13 second time jump, and any consequences that happened when the omega 13 was activated near the end of the film.
It does appear like an alien race has been affected because of this, and they have- through some currently unknown means- tracked down those responsible for the 13 second time glitch to try and rectify any problems caused.
An online comic shop known as Westfield Comics, shows another cover which goes to the second of the 4 comics expected to be released (Galaxy Quest The Journey Continues #2)
Leave me a message below with any questions and we will have our people try and get those answered as quickly as possible!

The Last starfighter is one of the VHS tapes that were used in the background of the film. I happend to stumble across a picture of the minitures that were used in the scene where the protector smashes into the side of the convention.
Even to this day, i'm still surprised as to how much detail that the design crew put into this film.

Last night I was watching Galaxy Quest again and I noticed something that struck me as odd. It was when Mathesar explains that "This is the Tothian minefield left standing from the great war of 12185" during the first ship to ship combat.
I noticed that when you look at the 12185 the 12 and 18 when switched is 1812- as in the war of 1812 which was fought between America and the British. The war lasted until 1815. Notice that 5 is the last number in 1815 and is the last number in 12185.
This is the war that many consider the second war of independence for America, making it America’s last war to become independent from the tyrannical Brittan (at the time). It seems to me that there is a connection between this and the battle that was occurring during the movie; the battle of the Thermian against the enslaving, tyrannical Sarris. Both of these battles involved attacking each other’s ships- and then progressing to hand-to-hand combat.
I could be making a stretch here but my next upcoming post, which has a similar idea of the movie makers putting a hidden connection in, is undeniable.
Here's a hint- the next post deals with the same "Fish out of Water" idea that the actors in galaxy quest went through. "There's gotta be a perfectly logical explanation for all this."
If you can give me the right answer before December 9th starts you will win a free Galaxy Quest promo pin.

I see that I’ve gotten a hand full of repeat visitors in the past couple of weeks. This is very exciting for me because it tells me that my site has enough credibility and interesting content for my fellow Questarians. I hope that in the upcoming weeks I can show you the progress and alternated patterns being made.
I believe that it is important for a project to start off with a good foundation. I want to make sure that the pattern that I’m working on is accurate so that way I won’t have to alter, or re-make the whole thing.
If you haven’t had the chance yet, be sure to take a look at the Questarian.com. He doesn’t have anything new 'per say' but he has thrown an update about the site itself, which is something worth wile to look at.
In the meantime don’t forget about the real world science! The Mars Rover Curiosity landed last month and has already made it halfway to its destination!
